About Morrison Music
A qualified, experienced and dedicated music tutor
Hello, my name is Wayne Morrison. I founded Morrison Music Tuition as I understand the important role an experienced and knowledgeable music teacher has in maximising the learning potential of students and making music accessible to learners of all ages and abilities. Please allow me to outline my experience.
I began playing guitar at an early age and quickly progressed through my classical guitar grades to obtain a Grade 8 Distinction and later a Diploma in Classical Guitar Performance (AVCM) through the Victoria College of Music in London in 2002. I still wanted to expand my knowledge, which I did by achieving a BA (Hons) First Class in Humanities with Music and History through the Open University in 2007. I never stopped playing, and my passion expanded to learning the banjo, mandolin, ukulele, bass guitar and cello.
A 100% pass rate
For over 20 years, my love of teaching has become my driving force and an essential part of my playing. I approach teaching with the aim of improving and developing practical and theoretical skills within a fun, relaxed and friendly environment across a wide range of ages, from young children to mature adults. As a consequence of this teaching technique, I have a 100% pass rate for pupils taking practical and music theory exams.
I also strongly believe in the importance of listening to music as a way of learning, so I provide all my lessons with not only printable sheet music but also MP3s, musical examples, as well as links to educational apps. I love sharing my passion with others, and I am so grateful that I get to do this incredible job every single day. Whether online or in person, please join me on this journey.
